THIS could be YOU!
More on that later.
The Stepping Stone Spa and Bed & Breakfast is located on picturesque Darling Hill in Lyndonville. It was created in 2005 by Richard Downing. Mr. Downing had recently battled cancer and needed a place heal (mind, body, and soul). Mr. Downing’s granddaughter Katy Mello is now the head of the spa. Katy tells us a bit more about the spa’s start up: “Mr. D is a researcher, so during and after his healing he read as much as he could about how to prevent cancer again. He wanted to build a place that was warm, tranquil and peaceful.”
Katy tells us that the staff is passionate about bringing a focus of health and wellness to their community members, and to those visiting the area as well.
Here is a bit more from Katy about what the spa offers: “Our spa offers three separate massage rooms (one with two beds- our couple’s room!), a room for esthetics, two locker rooms each with a steam sauna, and an acclimation room where you may sit and enjoy a cup of tea after your treatment (a favorite room among many!). We currently have five massage therapists and one esthetician who grace us with their talents as often as they can! We have clients who visit us regularly to help with problems/conditions, such as chronic pain, fibromyalgia, post injury, post surgery, headaches, and many more. We also have many guests who desire deep relaxation, stress reduction, and a general escape from reality!”
My family is quite familiar with the Stepping Stones Spa. A spa gift certificate is our go-to gift for my mom. Mother’s Day, Birthday, Christmas. Lucky mom! Spa services include massages, facials, body wraps, skin treatments, and personal training. The spa also has four rooms for overnight guests.
Katy and her staff are committed to their clients and their experience at the spa. “Our main focus here at the spa is the experience of our clients. We want people to feel welcomed, comfortable, relaxed and at ease while here. We want them to leave not only thinking that they just had the best treatment of their lives, but that they had relief from what ailed them.” (-Katy)
