New England Seasonings Giveaway

North East Seasonings is located in Wells River, VT. They are putting together classic and creative spice blends such as Montreal Steak Seasoning, Taco Seasoning, Creole Seasoning and more. They also love requests for new flavors.

Rich Gray shares information about his company’s start up: “I actually wanted to do this a dozen years ago. I’ve been an avid cook for a long time. Instead I launched YankeeScents.com (potpourri) then. NorthEast Seasonings has been a work in progress ever since. We’ve been testing recipes and blends throughout that time, and finally got around to launching the business last year.”

The Jerk Seasoning is a wonderful mix of sweet, salty, and mildly spicy spices. North East Seasoning uses maple sugar to sweeten this essential Jamaican spice blend. I would recommend brushing a light coat of olive oil onto chicken breasts and thighs and then sprinkling this jerk seasoning all over the meat. Grill to perfection  and enjoy! If you have a smoker this would be the time to use it!

Homemade chicken sausage pizza with peppers, onions, and black olives. My son said “This was the best meal ever Mom!”.

Making pizza is a weekly adventure at our house. We love love love to make pizza though there is a constant battle about who makes the best pizza crust. One thing that is easy to agree on is how to make a great sauce. We start with Pizza Seasoning from North East Seasoning (their best selling spice blend!) and then add fresh or canned tomatoes and a bit of tomato paste. It’s that easy and the flavor will far surpass anything that you can buy in a jar.

Tonight I made my husband burgers for his birthday. Local beef, cilantro from our garden, and Montreal Steak Seasoning. Delicious! Above is my burger. No toppings. No cheese. No top bun. Just well seasoned meat on a bottom bun. I had to ask everyone (a few times) if they liked their burgers because they were so quiet. They were just quiet because they were happily eating and enjoying their burgers.

You can purchase North East Seasonings online. Also look for them at the beCAUSE Craft Show each spring. 1. I’ve tried several of their seasonings. They are all great but the pizza seasoning is my favorite. You get a big bag of season that lasts a long time. Great flavor and great value, what’s not to love?

  2. I would love to try the Jerk Seasoning or Garam Masala. Honestly they all look wonderful! I just discovered your blog and am so excited to find out about all the wonderful things to try right here in Vermont. Thank you!
