Happy Valentine’s Day Try Vermont First readers!
Makayla’s Garden is a one year old Vermont business created by St Albans mom Teresa Brosseau. What started as a hobby and stress reliever after her 9-5 job has turned into a growing business made up mostly of custom orders. Photographers, parents, and brides-to-be contact Teresa daily to make the perfect accessory for them. She has made countless headbands and hair clips. She recently launched a line of toddler safe chunky necklaces and satin trimmed tutus.
Teresa sent our family a few headbands to photograph and review. Here are a few pictures:
Each headband is made with soft elastic, ribbons, and embellishments.
Each girl that I photographed found the headband to be comfortable. Nothing was itching, poking, or irritating – and that makes for a happy toddler/preschooler!
Teresa tells us a little about her plans to expand Makayla’s Garden: “My goal is not to mimic other business, but to become our own brand and carry items that are not normally found in Vermont.”.
Miss Makayla models Teresa’s newly designed tutu. “Handmade tutu with 24 total yards of tulle! It is sewn (not tied), then trimmed with a thick layer of satin ribbon!! The elastic is a strong “no roll” and sewn into a satin waistband, with a satin bow attached on the front. Simply elegant and super full.”
We are happy to share a lovely headband from Makayla’s Garden with you!
