Tammy Goughnour from Belle Savon VT is passionate about the products that she makes in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. Tammy actually calls herself, “obsessively passionate [about finding the best natural, organic, sustainable and cruelty-free ingredients]”.
Tammy sent us an all – natural artisan bar of soap from her beautiful soap line. We have been happy to test Belle Savon’s Orange, Oat & Calendula soap. This soap starts with Vermont mountain spring water and Vermont grown organic sunflower oil. Dried and ground oats (from near by Quebec) are added for skin conditioning and dried calendula blossoms are healing for your skin. Finally Tammy and her family use a mix of essential oils and and herbs from their very own garden.
I have been using this soap for the last few weeks and am very happy with the way the soap both cleans and moisturizes. It’s been very cold and incredibly dry here in Vermont (except today). This is the time of year that my skin gets itchy and starts to crack, but I haven’t see any of that thanks to my well crafted soap from Belle Savon. The orange scent is very mild, pleasant and sweet. The scent is gently there but is not overwhelming.
Visit Belle Savon’s website and find their full product line, including candles, mineral bath salts, healing chest rubs, lip balm, and custom wedding or baby shower favors. Tammy tells us a bit more about her products: “My lip balm is also all natural with beneficial oils and butters and all natural flavors. Our candles are pure soy with no harmful paraffin, GMO’s, or pesticide residues. I use cotton and paper Eco wicks and cruelty-free and phthalate free fragrance in USA made specialty glass jars.”
Here is one more important quote from Tammy: “Vermont is a super special place and we try to reflect our love for it by making top quality products for all to enjoy where ever you live!”
