This fall I was sent a “Bartule“, which was designed by North Ferrisburgh enterprenuer Kit Clark. Kit told us “I came up with the design for the bartule in the summer of ’06 while I was vacationing at my cottage in Ontario. I was at a cocktail party and noticed a turn of the century primitive pewter combination spoon, jigger & bottle opener. I took this design, modernized it and added the measuring cup, citrus squeezer, ice bucket/wine chiller lid and salt rimmer.”
The Bartule is a pretty cool gift to give or receive. Within this comprehensive kit you will find an ice bucket/wine cooler, a bottle opener, a cork screw, a measuring cup, a fruit squeezer, a salt rimmer, and a coaster. Phew. Pass the bottle and have a party. Easily done. The Bartule is modern, fun, and very useful!
The Bartule comes in six colors seen above. It can be purchased via the Bartule website or at other online locations. This functional and funky (funky in a good way) gift would be perfect for a house warming, a move, a 21st birthday, an engagement, and many more!
Note that the Bartule is currently not manufactured in Vermont, but all of the design, product development, marketing, web work, retail packaging and art is done in Vermont, which is why we have chosen to share this company with you. The Bartule brand will be expanding in the new year and are always looking for affordable manufacturing that brings the work closer to home. They also have plans on “being the first Carbon Neutral barware company in the US”.
See details below on how to win a Bartule for yourself! Good luck!
