Does your 3 year old love soup?

This giveaway is now closed, but please enjoy reading our review!

While researching companies and products to try I was truly surprised to find two guys making soup in my backyard – not literally, but close enough!

Two Guys in Vermont is a Montpelier, VT company setting out to make the best soup possible. Gluten free, mostly organic, packaged in glass jars (bpa free!).

To say that co-owner Jeff Weinstein is enthusiastic about his soup is an understatement. Jeff is not only enthusiastic about his soup, but he is passionate about the ingredients that he is using and the farmers he is supporting.

We met Jeff and he offered us samples of the three flavors of soup they make: Veggie Basil, Chunky Garden Tomato, and Curried Apple Butternut Squash. We decided to sample soup that same day (“we” being my 3 1/2 year old son and myself). My son chose Veggie Basil. He took one bite and said “This is the best soup I have ever had”. He then asked me to please call Jeff and “tell him I love this soup”. I couldn’t make this up, he really did love the soup! I agreed that this soup was great. It has a deep rich flavor. You want to pause after each bite an think about the various ingredients and spices that make up your bowl of soup. The addition of cannellini beans(which I usually would not add to my own soup) surely does make this soup filling and hearty. My son and I both wanted a second bowl of this delicious soup!

We paired the Chunky Garden Tomato soup with grilled cheese (see photo below). This is a classic combination that warms you up and nourishes your soul. Jazz this soup up by adding pasta, crunchy croutons, or shredded cheese. Or get cozy with a big bowl of Chunky Garden Tomato on it’s own.

When you eat the Curried Apple Butternut Squash soup you can easily distinguish the two main ingredients: squash and apple. The curry is not overpowering, but is sweet and it offers a bit of a warm spice.

Two Guys’ soup tastes fresh because it is fresh! The freshest soup that you will find on a store shelf!

Jeff and his partner Chef Doug Barg will continue to research and write new recipes and make great soup. I hope that you will look for it at a store near you. Bring it home, try it, and enjoy! Keep a few jars in your pantry, your office, and share with friends.

PS: My son has a few soups he would like you to think about: Parmesan Carrot and Broccoli Celery. Maybe???
